AS450 Independent Study in Animal Studies
The independent study course allows a student to pursue a topic not covered in the curriculum under the mentorship of a faculty member. It could require original research and a lengthy paper, or the faculty member and student could agree on a program of readings and assignments that would be similar to a regular course. 3 credits
Course Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of the course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate expertise in the scholarly literature pertaining to their chosen topic.
- Articulate key concepts, principles and theories pertaining to their chosen topic.
Topics covered in this course will be dependent upon the scope of the students’ learning outcomes; therefore topics will be determined by the student and the faculty member.
Text used will be determined by the Faculty member.
