AS797 Animal Studies Applied Practice
Course Description
Students will complete an approved applied research project or a field placement designed in conjunction with a Faculty Advisor and a Field Instructor. Both the research project or field practice requires a written proposal and must be approved by the respective Department Chair. Students are expected to invest a total of 135 hours during this course. Students will devote a minimum of 100 hours to their placement. The remaining time will be spent communicating with your Faculty Advisor and your writing assignments (assigned by the Faculty Advisor). Because most HSU students are working adults, this course is expected to extend beyond the traditional eight-week course term, but no longer than 14-weeks.
Course Learning Outcomes
Given the uniqueness of each field placement/project and the student needs, outcomes will be determined at the onset of this course by the student, Faculty Advisor, and Field Instructor.
Course Topics
