FEMA Workshops
Listed below are several valuable workshops available through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Emergency Management Institute (EMI), via their web-based Independent Study Program.
These free, self-paced online workshops are available at the FEMA Independent Study website, and are relatively short, easy to complete, and extremely informative. You can also find dozens of other free, online disaster-related workshops at the FEMA site. We encourage you to take any workshops that will help you pursue your interests in disaster preparedness and response.
Several FEMA workshops are strongly recommended as prerequisites for HSU Community Disaster Preparedness workshops.
Further, in order to be eligible for HSUS deployment, the required workshops shown below must be completed within six months of acceptance on the National DART.
