New Student Orientation
After being accepted for admission to the College of Arts and Sciences, you will receive an e-mail providing instructions on how to establish your online student identity and log-in information. Once your log-in is established, you may connect to the student information system to register for classes, view course schedule information and access other information.
You will also receive a “Getting Started Checklist”. This list provides information and access to university services, catalogs and documents.
Please take the time to read both the Student Handbook and the Course Catalog. These documents provide valuable information about university policies and procedures. The Humane Society University Course Catalog provides detailed information on university programs and policies. The Humane Society University Student Handbook outlines student rights and responsibilities.
If you have any questions about university polices, please contact admissions@humanesocietyuniversity.org.
HSU offers many webinars to assist you with navigating Maestro, the Student Information System, Library Services and ANGEL. In addition, our Technical Support Department is here to assist you with any computer issues or concerns that you may have.
One month prior to the start of your class, you will receive information on textbooks and any other preparations that are necessary before the start of the course. You will be given access to the course site one week prior to the first day of class, which will allow you to access the syllabus, assignment instructions, and additional reading materials.
Humane Society University uses ANGEL as its course management and course delivery system. Students are encouraged to review ANGEL 7.3 Student Quickstart Guide before courses start.
If you have any questions concerning technical support, please contact support@humanesocietyuniversity.org.
