HSU Announces PJ/Hart Loving Bond Scholarship
Humane Society University is pleased to offer the 2012-13 PJ /Hart Loving Bond scholarship, awarding $500 to two HSU College of Arts and Sciences students and/ or applicants.
The Purpose
Humane Society University offers its scholarship program to encourage and incent both potential and existing degree candidates who exhibit a serious interest in advancing the cause of animal interest. The scholarship program seeks candidates who have demonstrated commitment to the cause and who intend to use their education and professional credentials in animal centric studies to serve as leaders for humane change in their current and future careers.

Eligibility Requirements:
Candidates for HSU’s PJ/ Hart Loving Bond scholarship must meet the following criteria:
- Applicant must be enrolled in or seeking admittance to HSU’s College of Arts and Sciences
- Scholarships are awarded to students in degree programs only
- US citizenship
- Applicant must demonstrate an interest in the human-animal bond
- Applicant must maintain a 3.0 GPA
How to Apply:
Complete the application form (link below) and submit the following documents:
- 750 word essay (maximum)- Include background, aspirations and proposed course of study
- Form confirming volunteer experience pertaining to animal protection/welfare (6 months )
- Transcript information (from Maestro)
- Two letters of recommendation
The Fine Print
- Scholarship notifications are made toward HSU tuition remission for 2012-13 academic year
- Scholarships are awarded in increments of $500.00
- Scholarships may be taxable
